Every year we try to bring the products and culture of the Kichwa people closer to you. In 2026 we took part in several festivals. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your donations and for buying products from the rainforest.

People who visited Ruku Samay in winter and spring 2026 did not sit idle: they organised talks, events and fundraisers in support of the rainforest. From the pen – or rather the voice – of Daniela Pilařová came an interview for Czech Radio.
How the plants and products we bring you from the rainforest are harvested
Take manguíno, for example. It is similar to vilcacora, except that it is not a vine but a whole tree. I was there for the harvest and it thrilled me so much that I want to share that day with you.
A new lagoon at Ruku Samay, created by Život Postaru and Agustín Grefa
Thanks to you and Agustín Grefa, a lagoon has been created near Ruku Samay – a clean, uncontaminated source of water for local animals, which had lost access to water because of the contaminated river.
