Monitoring the botanical garden

Číst česky

At the beginning of 2026, the regular monitoring of the botanical garden took place on land protected by the non-profit organisation Život Postaru. The land lies right next to a gold-bearing river that mining companies have shown interest in several times. However, the land is protected and forms another barrier to entering the rainforest. Several medicinal plants have been planted here, and educational programmes take place both for volunteers and visitors to Ruku Samay and for local children from the community. The area is regularly monitored by drone, and the rainforest is maintained so that herbs and plants can be preserved and grown in their natural environment. The site is kept as a botanical garden within the natural rainforest and is therefore unique in its natural diversity. It has become one of the projects of the non-profit organisation Život Postaru.
