We support Kichwa indigenous communities in Ecuador and protect their rainforest from destruction
We are raising money to pay off a key piece of land above the waterfalls near the Ruku Samay community in the Río Blanco area. It guards the way into the deep rainforest and the river that gives the whole area clean drinking water. Without the purchase it faces gold mining, which leaves the soil dead and contaminated.

Our mission is to protect the Amazon rainforest and support the life of local indigenous communities in harmony with nature and their traditional wisdom. We buy and protect threatened parts of the rainforest in Ecuador so they do not fall victim to mining. We run the Sachawa school to preserve the traditional wisdom and way of life of our ancestors.
In the Kichwa language, Ruku Samay means not only “the old way of life” but also “ancient wisdom”.

Every year we try to bring the products and culture of the Kichwa people closer to you. In 2026 we took part in several festivals. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your donations and for buying products from the rainforest.
